Multi-layer elastic bands in gray-pink color

The monotony of Chinese children's rubber bands is not to everyone's taste. If you have perseverance and are willing to spend a couple of hours decorating your hair with beautiful flowers on elastic bands, then this job is for you. Handmade things will always make their owner stand out, because they not only have an interesting design, but also have a piece of soul invested in them. When creating a hair decoration, immediately determine the colors that suit you. It is advisable to use two colors, then you can highlight individual moments in your work and emphasize each tier of petals. Be sure to choose colors of the same saturation; if I took soft pink, then the second color will be cold - steel.
For the work you will need a satin ribbon, the width of the ribbon is about 4 cm. Buy 30 cm of lace, it will add tenderness to the work. You will also need centers in the form of flowers made of rhinestones and rubber bands themselves to which you need to attach the flowers. Stock up on glue sticks that are inserted into a special gun; this glue is very convenient for fastening layers of flowers. You need a lighter to singe the edges and a wood burner; they are very convenient for fusing the layers of the petal together.



Cut the ribbon into squares.This can be done either with a burner, or with scissors. In the second case, you will have to burn the edges with a lighter.



We begin to form the petals for the base of the flower. To do this, make a fold in one of the corners of the cut square as in the picture.



Cut the corner where the fold is folded and burn the edge. You will need 16 pink angular petals and 8 steel ones.



Glue the petals in a circle. Try to follow a certain sequence - a couple of layers of pink, one steel circle, and a few more pink on top.



Now we make the petals for the larger layer of the flower. To do this you will need 7 more pink blanks. Bend each one in the middle, but askew.



Then fold the edges to the middle of the bottom edge of the former square.



We bend the work along the middle line and fix it, for example, you can pinch it with tweezers or nails.



We solder all the lower layers using a hot burner. To do this, simply draw a line under the metal ruler along the base. You should get a petal like this.



Press on its back side, and then a kind of pocket will form. You need to pour glue into this gap and immediately squeeze the petal so that it takes the desired shape.




Glue the petals in a circle. But we glue only their edge, which is closer to the center of the flower, and the lace will go under the outer edge.



We create the petals for the inner layer of the flower in the same way, but we do not drip the glue, but slightly singe the back of the petal.



We sew 8 steel petals into a flower using thread and immediately glue them into the middle. We decorate the center with rhinestones.



Now we glue lace under the pink petals, which will give some lightness and add volume.



All that remains is to turn the work over and stick on a pink, white or gray elastic band.
