Who said that useful things have to be expensive? During the season, anyone can make homemade sweets; the price is much cheaper than store-bought ones. This summer dessert is very easy to prepare. For homemade jelly sweets you will need a pack of gelatin, three pairs of apricots, and half a glass of sugar.

First I soak the gelatin to soften it, meanwhile I cook the apricots.

I wash them and remove the seeds, grind the pulp in a mixer (I do not remove the peel).

I put it in a bowl along with sugar, add a glass of water, and put it on the fire. I don’t like to cook for a long time, but this is a matter of taste.

Gelatin significantly increases in volume, add it to the apricots, after turning off the heat.

Since the liquid has just boiled, the gelatin will dissolve without additional heat.

I pour it into molds (I used disposable plates), let it cool a little and put it in the refrigerator.

I usually prepare such desserts in the evening, and the delicacy is ready by morning. All that remains is to cut into pieces. I dusted them with powdered sugar but it soaked in straight away so maybe not the best idea.

If you want the mixture to be homogeneous, cook the apricots longer, then pass through a sieve or use an immersion blender. I like to feel the pieces of fruit in the jelly, so I didn't crush it too much. The delicacy is cool, aromatic, moderately sweet. The candies are quite filling and definitely healthier than industrial ones. For those on a diet, you can replace sugar with fructose or not add it at all.

    Great recipe! I make these marmalades from a variety of fruits and berries. Moreover, without granulated sugar, with a sweetener (I use natural - Fitparad). No extra calories for you - and you won’t deny yourself sweets.
