We melt cans into aluminum ingots with our own hands
The first thing we do is to make a simple forge. To do this you need to mix concrete.
An unnecessary basin will serve as a mold. We insert the old bucket into the center and press it down with bricks so that it does not float up.
First, you need to drill holes in the basin and bucket for the pipe from below. It will provide air supply to the center of the forge.
Next, mix the thick solution and form the top of the forge.
Then you need to make a lid. We weld a grid with handles from the reinforcement.
Fill with solution.
To make a window, insert a section of profile into the center.
It is also necessary to weld a grate from the fittings on which the coal will lie.
Melting cans in action
Let's prepare the coal. It shouldn't be very large. Large pieces need to be split.
We tape the hair dryer to the pipe with tape.
We light the fire and wait for the coal to burn.
A crucible is made from a profile pipe with a welded bottom. It is drilled into the sides so that the bowl can be taken with special tongs.
Place in the center and cover with a lid. Turn on the hairdryer to supply oxygen.
We place pre-crumpled aluminum cans one by one in the center.

We pour the metal into molds.
With good heating, you will get dense blanks without air pockets inside. All that remains is to process the blanks on a lathe to give them the desired shape.
