Not everyone has a compost heap or worm farm in their country house to process food waste from the kitchen. In this case, in order not to accumulate them in a bucket or container, where they will emit an unpleasant odor until they end up in a landfill, it is better to bury organic waste in the garden. This will not only help get rid of it, but also improve the soil.

Kitchen waste recycling process

Various vegetable peelings can be buried in the garden or beds to a depth of at least 20-40 cm.

This will allow you to plant plants on top without the risk of digging up undecomposed waste. But you can’t dump too much cleaning into one place.

Their active rotting, until they turn into compost, will not allow the plants growing on top to develop normally, since the roots will simply deteriorate.

You can also bury fish heads and offal. It is especially good to do this in the post where the tomatoes will be planted. But here you need to take into account that if dogs have access to the site, they will dig up such fertilizer along with the seedlings.

You can bury the carcasses of dead birds under beds and trees. For example, in a bed with onions, not even a seed will remain from a buried pigeon within a year. At the same time, the harvest of bulbs from such fertilizer will be very good.

The rate of decomposition of vegetable kitchen waste is quite fast, so you can periodically bury new portions in old places where everything has already been recycled. Thus, a banana peel will turn into compost in a couple of weeks; an ear of boiled corn will almost turn into rot after a month.

Disposal of peelings, trimmings of meat, fish and other organic waste makes the soil more fertile. It is actively populated by worms, which is also a guarantee of productivity, and will greatly please fishermen.

You just need to not throw waste into the trash every time, but bury it under plants in the garden or in the beds.
