Why is the bayonet-knife not sharp and not used up?

The current bayonet knives have become shorter and have more secondary functions.
For example, an AK-47 knife allows you to cut wooden branches and even thin reinforcement, thanks to the notches on the side. Cutting the wire also turns into a hammer in one motion.
