Making a fixture
It is necessary to make a side support for the jack from sheet steel 5 mm thick. Its height and width are selected individually depending on the size of the jack.
The stop is a strip bent at a right angle. For bending, it is heated red-hot with a gas cutter. At the bottom, the L-shaped blank rests against the sole of the jack, and at the top it is cut to fit the circumference of its body. After this, the thrust plate is welded to the jack.
Next, a lifting fork is made, which allows you to pick up a container or other cargo located low to the ground. It is made from sheet steel with a thickness of at least 10 mm. The material for its manufacture can be used as a spring from a truck, but this steel may simply burst under load. Using a cutter set to heat, you need to bend the Z-shaped workpiece, adjusting it to the size of the jack. A shelf is bent on top of it under its support point. The lower bend of the workpiece is made long enough to hook loads from below with the ski.
To prevent the jack's support point from sliding out of the adapter shelf, it is necessary to make a reliable stop. To do this, an insert with a large hole slightly larger than the diameter of the jack's support point is welded under the shelf. It is cut from steel of the same thickness.
Considering that a jack with such an adapter will be used to lift multi-ton loads, its sole will not be enough to prevent it from sinking into the ground under load. In this regard, it needs to be expanded with a stand cut from sheet steel with a thickness of 10 mm or more.
After this, the modified jack with adapter can be used. His ski goes under the container and lifts it up. This adapter is also useful for raising a garage, shed, modular building, low terrace, gazebo, etc.
