For many, making homemade cheese is associated at least with chemical experiments. Indeed, store-bought cheeses are prepared with strict adherence to complex technologies so that they can be stored for a long time. You can prepare everything much easier for yourself at home.
Ingredients:
- milk 3.2% – 1 l;
- salt – 1 tsp;
- eggs – 3 pcs.;
- sour cream 20% – 200 gr.
Cheese making process
Salt is added to the milk and it is brought to a boil.
Meanwhile, sour cream and eggs are mixed in a separate container.
The egg-sour cream mixture is poured into the boiling milk.
Set the heat to moderate and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
During this time, the mass should curl up. As soon as large flakes appear in it, you need to strain it through a colander covered with 2 layers of gauze.
The cheese mass must be compacted so that it sticks together into a head. To do this, a saucer and a weight are placed on top of it. You can put it in a tin can with holes in the bottom.
After cooling to room temperature, the cheese is ready. The remaining whey can be used for pancakes.
