New Year's toys made from light bulbs are very popular. From them you can make a snowman, Santa Claus, a garland, a penguin. There are so many ideas that it is very difficult to choose one.
If by the New Year there are several burnt out light bulbs in the house, then it’s time for creativity. What holiday could there be without Santa Claus? It is this character that will appear instead of an ordinary light bulb, but for this the needlewoman will have to try a little.
Materials:
- gouache;

- glass of water;
- newspapers;
- scissors;
- bulb;
- pen;
- red fabric;
- glue;
- rhinestones;
- New Year stickers;
- cotton wool;
- leg-split;
- double sided tape.

1. We put the necessary materials on the table.
2. Take newspapers, cut them into small strips, then make squares.
3. Pour water and glue into a glass. We keep the proportions one to one. Mix the mass.
4. Throw the paper squares into the glue.
5. Take a light bulb and cover it with newspapers on all sides. Make 2-3 layers. We put the workpiece aside for at least overnight. We are waiting for the light bulb to dry.
6.We paint the top of the piece with white gouache, place it in a glass, and let it dry.
7. Then we start painting the lower part, for this we use red gouache. We paint the workpiece well on all sides, if necessary, we do several approaches. Place the lamp aside for 1 hour.
8. Let's start decorating crafts. First, we make a Santa Claus hat. If we managed to find red fabric in the house, we will make a hat from it. We cut a small piece of fabric, try it on the top of the lamp, and sew it together.
9. Attach the cap using double-sided tape and tie it on top with twine. It is from this loop that we will hang the toy on the Christmas tree. We glue rhinestones instead of eyes, draw a nose with a red pen.
10. We make a beard from cotton wool and glue it to the craft with PVA glue. We decorate the souvenir with New Year's stickers. The product is ready, we evaluate the result of our work.
Now all that remains is to find a place in the house for such a toy. It will fit perfectly into the holiday theme and complement any decorations. If you want to hang a product on the Christmas tree, you shouldn’t deny yourself this pleasure. The new toy will appeal not only to adults, but also to kids.
