It’s already very cold outside and the birds are moving closer and closer to residential buildings. For what? To find food and enjoy delicious grains and bread crumbs. Therefore, it’s time to make a feeder and hang it on a tree near the entrance. Today you will learn how to make beautiful and unusual feeders from different materials.
Owl from a tetro bag.
Take a milk or juice bag (preferably 2 liters), cut a hole in the bottom in the form of a semicircle. Rinse the inside of the box thoroughly and wipe everything dry. Cover the surface with self-adhesive film. It is advisable to choose a brown or yellow shade to create an owl. But if it’s a cartoon character, then a pink tint will do. Make ears and wings. Form the eyes from plastic plugs and buttons, and glue the beak. Attach a rope on top.

Upside down basket.
Take the old basket and remove the broken handle. Paint it white with gouache paints and glue. Select a wooden box with sides and also paint it with white paint. Make holes in the corners of the box and stretch decorative ribbons, tying a knot at the bottom. Wrap them around the vine and connect them at the bottom of the basket. Make a loop to hold the feeder on the branch.Decorate the box with ready-made figures.
Bird feeders

Made of wood and plastic.
Make the bottom of the feeder from a sheet of fiberboard. You need to cut five parts: a bottom measuring 20x25 cm, two side walls 18x4 cm, two long walls 25x4 cm. Assemble all the parts and secure with nails. For the roof you need to use flexible plastic. Cut a piece so that you can form a dome along the length of the bottom piece. Also nail the plastic to the sides of the box. Make two holes on the sides and a wire handle. An unusual but beautiful feeder.
Bird feeders

From birch branches.
If you are planning to trim trees in your country house or have had such work done in your city, then you can make an excellent bird feeder from thick branches. Select branches with a diameter of 2-4 cm and cut them into pieces of different lengths. Bottom blanks: 2 pieces of 25 cm each and 2 branches of 20 cm each. They need to be connected along the edges with liquid nails. The bottom of the feeder is a piece of hardboard measuring 25x20 cm. The side vertical posts are 15 cm pieces. You need to make 4 of these. To make a roof, you can cut the branches in half lengthwise and connect them together. There is also a small pipe on the roof. Magnificent feeder in the form of a house!
Bird feeders

From an old bookcase.
If you have an old bookcase gathering dust in your attic that you haven’t used for a long time, then turn it into a bird feeder. Cut out two identical hexagon blanks. Between them you will need to attach slats, exactly 6 pieces. They are fixed with self-tapping screws. To prevent food from spilling out from below, screw the side sides. Make a wooden handle and decorate the craft with colorful birds.
