Making your own stool: tools and materials
An example of creating a wooden stool using self-tapping screws. Size: seat 35 by 35 centimeters; height 45 centimeters. Pine was used to make the stool. If the wood is purchased ready for use, no additional treatment with antiseptic solutions is necessary.
To make a stool with your own hands you needed:
• Regular ruler;

• Hammer;
• Self-tapping screws;
• Hacksaw;
• A simple pencil.
Any construction begins with preparing a drawing, and even assembling a simple stool for the kitchen is no exception. Of course, the drawing does not have to be carried out according to GOST.This is your cheat sheet, so the dimensions on paper can be arbitrary, but signed in strict accordance with the final result.
Stages of work.
When all the tools are ready, a simple pencil is sharpened, and the mental representation of the stool is transferred to paper, you can begin construction. First of all, the legs, legs and drawers are made. The legs and drawers are the basis of the entire structure. They take full responsibility for reliable operation. When all the blanks are cut out, you can start processing them. The top, rough layer of wood is removed using a grinder. Then, when obvious defects are smoothed out, they are sanded with sandpaper. The footrest and legs were fastened using self-tapping screws - 4.2*76. The lower connection and fastening of the seat are made with self-tapping screws - 3.8*51.
The finished product is treated with impregnation in accordance with the recommendations written on the packaging. Modern impregnations allow you to preserve the natural texture of wood. If desired, the finished model can be turned into a soft stool.
