Every tourist knows how heating devices help out in nature because they can work long enough to cook food or warm water for tea. The question is how burdensome such a heater will be in terms of weight and manufacturing, as well as price.
Today we want to offer an upgrade to a regular tea candle, which significantly increases the intensity of its burning. The technology is as simple as possible and does not require special costs for materials. Well, in terms of size and weight, such a heating element is simply a record.

All we need to improve the candle is ordinary corrugated cardboard from any packaging. You can also use a container for melting wax or paraffin, depending on what the candle is made of. Well, the candles themselves, which you can buy a couple of dozen at a wholesale store.

Upgrade candles - step by step instructions

First, we empty the aluminum containers of the wax or paraffin filling. This is easy to do manually.

Then we cut strips from a sheet of cardboard in width slightly exceeding the thickness of the candle filling. Subsequently, they will work like wicks.

Having cut a sufficient number of pieces of cardboard, roll them up and place them in containers. No special care is needed here.

Having crushed the wax or paraffin base and taken out all the wicks from it, we immerse everything in a melting dish and put it on fire. These materials melt easily, and a primus stove or even a kerosene lamp is suitable for heating them. And, of course, this is easy to do on a regular kitchen stove.

We arrange aluminum containers with cardboard in dense rows so as not to spill the wax base over the sides, and pour it inside all containers. Wax, like paraffin, cools very quickly, so the completion of the work will not take long.
