How to make a bicycle without spokes

A bicycle without spokes looks very surprising and unusual. The incomprehensibility immediately “breaks the pattern” in my head. The look is very cool, this technique will immediately attract attention and make everyone actively “move their gray matter”, with the question - “how is this possible?” But the secret is simple, as always, and anyone can repeat such a great miracle.

Remaking bicycle wheels

Remove the wheels from the bicycle. Unscrew all the sprockets and nuts. We deflate and remove the tire.

Unscrew the spoke fastenings.

You won't need any more knitting needles.
We unscrew all the nuts at the bushing, pull out the axle, and temporarily remove all the bearing balls without losing them.

We fix the bushing in a vice. Using a piece of wood, remove part of the bushing body.

We drill three holes in each side of the body.

We take thick plexiglass, at least 10 mm thick. We do not remove the protective layer yet. First we place the rim on it and trace it inside with a marker.

Then the hub body part. It needs to be circled in two places.

Using a jigsaw, cut out a large circle and two small ones.

We accurately find the center in this circle and use a crown to drill a hole for the bicycle hub.

We drill holes of the same diameter in small circles.Then we take the sleeve, put on two small circles and insert it into the large one. And we drill this sandwich together along three holes on the sleeve.

Now you can remove the protective layer from the plexiglass.

We measure three parts of the stud along the length of the sleeve and cut them off with a hacksaw.

We insert the pins into the holes of the large circle and press them on the sides with small round pieces. We fix the whole thing with nuts on both sides.

We insert the bushing and assemble its body.

We fix everything with nuts.
Now we install the circle in the rim. After a certain distance, we drill a hole in the rim and fasten everything with self-tapping screws.

All is ready. We install the bearing balls into the seats, insert the axle, and fix it with nuts as everything was before. We install the sprockets. Place the tire in place and inflate it.

Carry out all the same operations with the other wheel.

The bicycle without spokes is ready! Looks very cool!

Well, firstly, there is no shock absorption on such wheels, secondly, the bike will add a significant amount of weight, and thirdly, I strongly doubt that when cutting with a jigsaw it will be possible to achieve perfect balancing, which means that measuring and beating the wheel will be godless!
And what will be blown away by the wind while driving, compared to the first three points, these are such trifles! ;)

    Once upon a time, I saw video footage of a wheel at the moment of hitting an obstacle; it was clearly visible how the rim was dented and the spokes in this place not only weakened, but even began to wave. And after passing the obstacle, the rim returned to its previous state.

Luckily the finger survived, but it hurt for a long time. And the author is WELL DONE for the fact that he can do something and does it.
