Chiffon flower brooch

A flower brooch is a very interesting and feminine decoration. It will take about an hour and a half to make. The cost of the brooch is low, and it looks even better than store-bought jewelry. The flower will perfectly enliven any dress or cardigan. You can wear it yourself or give it to a friend for a holiday.



You will need:
1) a piece of chiffon 15-20 cm wide
2) sewing supplies (thread, needle, scissors, pin, chalk)
3) three small beads
4) a piece of thick fabric measuring 4*4 cm
5) candle
6) cardboard

1) Take thick cardboard and draw blanks of petals of different sizes on it: small, medium and large.



2) Cut out cardboard petals and place them on the chiffon. Trace with white chalk or pencil.



3) Cut out the petals. You should have approximately 15 large petals, 7 medium petals and 5 small petals. Their number can be varied. The more petals you make, the denser and more voluminous your flower will be.



3) Light a candle and begin to burn the petals around the perimeter. This procedure is necessary so that the edges melt a little and do not crumble.In addition, due to the influence of the flame, the petals bend slightly inward and become like real ones.



4) The next stage is assembling the flower. We take the smallest petals and sew them to each other with a shift. We move in a circle. In the same way we sew the medium and large petals. After all the petals are collected, you need to decorate the core of the flower. Take 3 cute beads to match the fabric or contrasting ones and sew them into the center of the flower. We turn the product over to make the fastening. Take a piece of thick fabric measuring 4 by 4 cm and cut a circle out of it. We make cuts in the circle and insert a pin. The base can be glued to the flower or sewn with threads to match the color of the fabric.



5) Our flower is ready!
