We have long been accustomed to using purchased cement as a construction binder. But this is not the only material available to us. An excellent binder can be made with your own hands from wood waste.

To obtain raw materials for cement production, you need to get a lot of wood ash. To do this, any wood waste is burned. This can be normal firewood, or small branches, bark, shavings, sawdust.
The raw material for cement will be fine white ash without charcoal. It needs to be mixed with plenty of water. Then the excess is drained off, leaving only the resulting paste of insoluble components. The drained water contains potassium carbonate, which had to be disposed of.
From the remaining paste you need to make balls and bake them in the oven until they glow orange. After firing they cool down.
Cold balls need to be quenched in water, similar to commercial lime.
The result is a cement paste that needs to be mixed with filler. This could be sand, screenings, brick chips, etc.
As a result, free cement is obtained from wood waste. The proportions of mixing it with filler should be selected individually, since the brand depends on the wood used.
You can first make a couple of test samples of concrete, and if their strength is satisfactory, prepare the solution according to the selected proportion.
