Reliable and durable steps in front of the front door can be made with your own hands from brick, concrete and tiles. Even a combination of these simple materials will make them unusual and arousing interest. Let's take a closer look at how to make a ladder.

Step manufacturing process
This method involves making the ends of the steps from bricks and the treads from tiles. The height of each step will be formed by 2 rows of brick and mortar between them. Moreover, in the first one the brick is laid as usual on the bed, and the second one is placed sideways on a spoon. Thus, the height of the step will be approximately 20 cm. Based on this, it is necessary to calculate the number of steps that will be needed. This must be done in order to lay the first of them at a sufficient distance. In this case, only 2 steps are needed.
First, the outline of the brick staircase is laid out. The laying of the first row is carried out in the standard way as for walls, using a solution of sand and cement.The depth of the contour is made with the calculation of 2 bricks for each step. It is very important that the first row is level. The differences are regulated by the thickness of the solution from below.
Then the mortar for the second row is laid out, and a wire is immersed in it to then connect the brick to the concrete inside the stairs. In the next row are the brick halves, turned onto spoons. The bricks do not fit in the corners. You need to leave about 15 cm.
The paved area is filled with concrete. It is necessary not to add it flush with the brick by about 10-12 mm in order to lay the tiles later.
While the concrete is cooling, you need to cut out corner details from two halves of red and one white brick with a grinder. They will be open at the top, so the cuts should be made carefully. You will need 2 of these sets for each stage.
After the concrete has set, the tiles are laid. To do this, you can use the same solution as for brick. The tile should partially go under the future second step.
The last step is done in a similar way.
Then the tiles are laid.
After this, all that remains is to seal the seams and do the jointing.
The result is a neat, beautiful staircase, the production of which requires a minimum of investment.
