When switching to DVB-T2 digital television, a special type of antenna is required, compared to meter-wave analog TV. Given the signal strength of modern repeaters in most cities, the antenna does not necessarily have to meet strict requirements. Often, a simple loop of coaxial cable is enough, which you can do yourself in 15 minutes. But do not underestimate this design, since it has excellent sensitivity and can easily “compete” with purchased samples.

Antenna manufacturing process
To make the antenna, you will need a piece of coaxial cable 1 meter long. First of all, measure 5 cm from the edge of the cable and remove the top insulation from this area.
Then you need to move the exposed braid aside and remove the insulation of the central core underneath it.
After this, the core and braid are tightly twisted.
You need to move 22 cm away from the edge with the insulation removed. From this mark, remove the top insulation and braiding to a width of 2 cm. Only the central core with internal insulation should remain.
Then we retreat another 22 cm from the end of this cut, and remove only the top insulation by 1 cm. The screen with braid must remain.
Now we take the end of the cable and wrap it tightly onto the bare screen in a narrow section.
In this form, the antenna can already be used for its intended purpose. You just need to put a connector on its end to connect to a set-top box or TV.
This compact antenna hides behind the TV, so it doesn’t interfere at all. If the signal is weak, then it would be better to take her outside.
