To clean foam from the mounting gun, a special remover is required. This consumable, unfortunately, is not as cheap as we would like. To save money, you can make a device that allows you to refill empty wash bottles with cheap acetone an infinite number of times, and wash the gun with it at a lower cost.
Materials:
- Old broken foam gun;
- empty cleaning bottle;
- valve from a tubeless tire.
The process of making an adapter for a cylinder
To assemble the device, you need to twist a gearbox from a broken gun.
It needs to be clamped in a vice, and using a thin steel bar, use a hammer to clear the passage.
Next, a valve is glued into the adapter, the rubber part of which is first cut off.
After the glue sets, the spool is unscrewed from it. Now the upgraded adapter is installed on an empty rinse bottle.
Using a syringe, acetone is poured into the balloon through it.
After refueling, the spool is screwed into the valve.
A pressure of 4 atm is injected into the cylinder using a pump or compressor.
Now, if you remove the adapter and place the cylinder on the working gun, you will be able to rinse it with a solvent, completely restoring the passability of dried foam.
