This transformation of the grinder allows it to be equipped with the functions of a portable circular saw with an adjustable depth of cut depending on the thickness of the wooden workpieces. Almost any adult who knows how to handle the simplest metal tools can cope with such work.

The process of transforming an angle grinder into a portable circular saw
After marking, to impart rigidity and for structural purposes, bend one long side at 90 degrees and two short sides at 45 degrees of a metal rectangular plate to a height of 10-15 mm, using a hammer, angle and clamps.
We cut off a fragment of the given dimensions from the steel equal-flange angle, and apply the remaining part to the protective casing of the angle grinder and draw a smooth line with a marker, commensurate with the seat of the casing and taking into account the attachment point.
Using a grinder, we cut out a section of the corner flange closer to one edge, bounded by an arcuate line. In the corner shelf above the arched arch we drill 3 symmetrically located holes.
We cut threads into them with a tap and drill.
We will connect the corner blanks in the longitudinal direction using an overhead loop. To do this, we drill holes in them and fasten the smaller fragment with screws and nuts in the center closer to one edge of the plate with a bent edge at 45 degrees.
We screw the overhead loop to the vertical shelf of the corner. We fasten the protective casing of the angle grinder with screws to the long corner and try it on the free card of the overhead loop to determine the cutting lines.
We screw a fragment of a corner with a shortened shelf to the shelf of the corner with a protective casing. We fasten the free end of the angle with the protective casing to the top card of the overhead loop with screws and nuts.
We straighten a metal strip with one bent end at a right angle. We mark the long part of the strip in the center, and then cut out a longitudinal slot between the two limiting holes, which we bring to perfection with a metal file.
We bend a part of the strip with a slot along a predetermined radius and screw it to a metal plate in a free corner made up of a long side and a short one with a flange at 45 degrees using screws and nuts so that the bend of the strip is directed outward.
We attach the angle grinder to the casing with a clamp.Through the longitudinal hole in the strip, we screw the manual adjustment screw from the outside into the threaded hole in the flange of the corner fragment.
We install a cutting disc on the grinder and make a slot of the estimated length in the plate.
We replace the cutting disc with a saw blade, and the transformation of the grinder into a portable circular saw is completed. Using the adjusting screw, the saw blade can be adjusted to cut wood pieces of various thicknesses.
