Everyone likes it when their apartment, office or any other room has a pleasant smell. This can be achieved with the help of a store-bought air freshener, which comes in different varieties and is sold everywhere. However, today I want to tell you that you can make a good, natural air freshener yourself. This is not difficult to do, and everyone has the materials that are necessary for this.

Required:
- Small glass jar, 100-200 grams;
- table soda;
- Foil for baking;
- Needle;
- Favorite aromatic oil;
- Stationery eraser;
- tablespoon;
- A beautiful ribbon for decorating a jar.

Required

The first thing we need to do is thoroughly wash and dry our jar. Then pour 2-3 tablespoons of soda into it. Depending on the size, the number of spoons may vary. In general, the contents of the jar should not exceed one third of it.

2 tablespoons soda

After this, take your favorite aromatic oil and drop a few drops onto the soda. 7-10 drops of oil should be evenly distributed over the surface.

Next, take baking foil and cut a square out of it. The size of the square should be sufficient to completely cover the neck of our jar. Place the square on the jar.

take some percussion foil and cut it out

We crimp the edges of the square over the jar so that the foil envelops it. Next, we need to secure the lid with an elastic band so that it sits tightly on the jar and does not fall off. If possible, it is better to wrap the elastic band two or three times so that the lid seals the jar hermetically.

secure the lid with a rubber band

Take a needle and carefully make holes all over the foil lid. This is necessary so that the oil vapors gradually leave the jar, creating a light, pleasant, almost imperceptible aroma in the room.

make holes all over the lid

In order for the jar to look neat and attractive, because it will stand in the room in plain sight, it needs to be decorated a little. A regular ribbon will do for this. We cut off a suitable flap, wrap it around the neck of the jar and tie a neat bow. You can also decorate the jar with paints if you want. I didn’t do this; the bow was more than enough for me.

Cutting a suitable flap

The contents of the jar will need to be updated periodically. To do this, simply remove the rubber band and lid and drip the oil in a new way. You can use a different scent each month or try a different combination of several oils. Experiment!
