You will need: 6 threads of 1.2 m each, 22 medium crimson wooden beads, 4 medium blue glass beads, 1 large pink bead. First, let's weave the turtle's head. Let's take 2 threads of 1.2 m each with a diameter of 1.5 mm:

weave a turtle's head

Then we weave a square knot consisting of a right flat knot:

weave a turtle's head

and the left flat node:

weave a turtle's head

Thus we weave 2 knots and put on eye beads (Turkish eye for the evil eye):

weave a turtle's head

Now we weave three square knots:

weave a turtle's head

Then we thread the ends of the threads into the beginning of the square knot on both sides:

This is the head that came out:

It's time to move on to the paws. We take 2 threads of 1.2 m with a diameter of 1.5 mm and put a wooden bead on each, then we intertwine the ends of the threads:

turtle

In the same way as the head, we form the paw from two square knots:

At the end of the paw we put a cylindrical glass bead to match the eyes:

We will tie diagonal knots: rep knots around two central threads:

On the one side

And exactly the same with the other

This is what happened

We string wooden beads through one thread and make a diagonal knot on the right side:

And from the left:

Then we form the second row on the left side:

and right side:

Now we string the bead onto two middle threads:

Now we will form diagonal knots around the third thread from the center and close the bead:

turtle

And then with the fourth thread we will form diagonal knots on the left:

Exactly the same on the left. This is what happened

The turtle has acquired a tortoise shell pattern:

turtle

We string wooden beads through one and form a diagonal knot with the outer thread on the right and left:

turtle

Let's start making the tail. To do this, select four threads in the center and form diagonal knots with the outermost threads:

turtle

The hind legs weave in the same pattern as the front legs: we string glass beads:
Then we weave a square knot and string it onto the outer threads along a wooden bead

turtle

We tie the ends, cut them with scissors and melt them with a lighter.

turtle

The turtle is ready!

What a miracle! And the photographs of the process are so detailed, it’s immediately clear what goes where. Great, I'll definitely try to make this one.
