New Year's candle and decoration for it

We all love New Year and Christmas very much. They are very funny and vividly memorable, despite the fact that they fall during the cold season. The most important thing is that this holiday is celebrated at home, among family and friends and with various beauties and goodies on the New Year's table. The New Year itself is a holiday of miracles and magic, and accordingly, the preparation for it should be the same. Everything should be carefully prepared and planned, and most importantly, everything on the table should look sophisticated. The most important decorative element on the table is, of course, a beautiful New Year's candle, decorated with various New Year's accessories, a home, so to speak. And to also give yourself pleasure, you can make such a composition with candles yourself. Moreover, every housewife probably has candle stubs left, so there is no need to throw them away, they need to be collected, and then melted down and made from them into one large candle.

So, to create such a composition you need to take:
• Candle cinders, approximately 200 grams;
• Tall tin drink can;
• Candle wick, holder for it;
• Red and green cardboard;
• Toothpicks and napkins;
• Napkin for decoupage with New Year's elements;
• Stamens, berries in sugar, shiny bouquets;
• Gold mesh;
• Burlap cord;
• Brown sisal stars;
• Sisal in several colors;
• Cones;
• Ribbons made of brocade and satin;
• Figured hole punch;
• Lighter;
• Scissors;
• Double-sided tape;
• Sequins;
• Spoon;
• Christmas tree branch;
• Glue gun.




First we need to make the candle itself. We take the cinders, pour them into a bowl and set them to melt in a water bath. We remove old wicks and any unnecessary things and melt them until smooth.



In the meantime, you can prepare the mold, cut the wick about 15 cm long, insert it into the holder, put two toothpicks on the jar, and place the wick in the holder on them. You can fill the mold with wax. Place in a cool place, but not in the refrigerator, for about two hours.




We cut a strip of green cardboard 9*19 cm, and red cardboard 7*19 cm. We make both on one side openwork with a border hole punch. We glue them together with double-sided tape.




We tear off the strips and pictures we need from the napkin; we need to remove the very top part from each picture. Glue the cardboard into a ring. Let's prepare decor for the stand. We tie bows, twist balls from sisal, and twist bows from stamens and berries.




We wrap the joint with a ribbon and knit a bow, and glue a cabochon-heart in the center. On the opposite side we glue bows, a bouquet, a twig, sisal balls and a pine cone. We glue stars with bows on the sides.




We take out a candle, warm a spoon and smooth it picture by picture onto the candle. We make a golden rim on top with liquid glitter.
