Folding card “Happy March 8th”

The most long-awaited and beautiful holiday of spring is, of course, March 8th. Whether at home, at work, at school, college, hospital, and so on, any woman comes on this day with a beautiful spring bouquet of flowers. It is pleasant to receive congratulations on this day from everyone equally, both male and female. Since pupils and students congratulate their teachers and professors, patients of their doctors, children of their parents and grandmothers, husbands and boyfriends of their girlfriends and wives. In a word, any woman is many times happier on this day, since there are a lot of congratulations. But, for example, with men it’s quite simple and clear, their present mainly a bouquet of flowers and sweets, in some cases jewelry and perfume, but what about gifts for girlfriends. These are definitely not flowers, but more often than not, it’s just a card with sweet congratulations, from which a memory and pleasant, warm words remain. It is very interesting for any woman to receive not just a postcard on March 8th, but also one that is handmade. This is now very fashionable and exclusive. You can make such a card for your mother, your teacher, or your friend. You can make such postcards using technology scrapbooking, since it is precisely this that allows you to create exclusive handmade paper gifts.

And today we will make not just a postcard, but a folding one in pink, and to create it we need:
• Landscape sheet of bright pink cardboard;
• Floral pink-blue scrappaper;
• Watercolor paper;
• Pink circle made from cutting;
• Several pictures with bears and bunnies, as well as a bouquet of roses;
• Border hole punch with lace;
• Polymer heart made of roses, soft pink;
• Bright pink berries in sugar;
• Latex rosette;
• Mother-of-pearl complex stamens;
• Roses made of polymer clay, pink and peach;
• Satin ribbons of two colors and types;
• Butterfly cut out;
• Stamp “Happy March 8th”, pink ink;
• Small white buttons;
• Pearl half beads;
• Glue gun;
• Scissors, pencil, PVA glue, ruler;
• Double-sided tape.




Since our postcard is folding and folded, it measures 8.5*16.5 cm, we first cut off a rectangle of 16.5*25.5 cm and divide the larger side into three equal parts, 8.5 cm each. On one side we make a cut, as in the photo.




We make lace sides on the top and sides. Now let's move on to scrap paper.




Cut out the following sizes from scrap paper and watercolors. We glue openwork paper strips onto some figures.




Now we glue tapes, pictures and a circle onto each rectangle.




We glue the stamped inscription “Happy March 8th” onto the oblique quadrangle and tint its edges.




We measure two pieces of white ribbon with hearts and glue them to the back of the card base so that we can then tie a bow.




We sew the pictures on scrap paper and now we glue all the figures onto the base, and we sew all three sides of the card in pairs.




We fold the card and glue a heart on the front, a bouquet on it, a rose and a bow at the top, and glue half beads in a circle. We glue the butterfly inside the card with PVA.




Fold and tie a bow.
