Lately, necklace collars have become very popular. In this master class, I want to offer a simple and accessible way to create such a collar. We won't make it too festive, so it will be great for the office, replacing beads.

To make it you will need yarn

To make it you will need yarn, ideally cotton, a 2.5 hook and old beads or beads separately, as well as a needle with a wide eye.

crochet 100 chain stitches

First, let's knit the collar itself. To do this, we will crochet 100 chain stitches, check your neck, you may need to make the chain larger. We knit two rows with double crochets. Then we will begin to form the corner of the collar, for this we knit the third row in total 45 stitches and turn around. We step back five loops, without knitting, but simply pulling the loop. We knit three lifting loops and finish the 4th row.

We do the 5th and subsequent rows in the same way. In each row, decrease 5 loops at the end and step over them in the opposite direction.

One side of the collar is ready, we just need to knit our steps with a row of single crochets, thereby rounding the corners.

When the row reaches the bottom, we begin to knit the second part of the collar to our first two rows, to do this we retreat from the first 10 loops, make 3 lifting loops and knit this part in the same way as the first, in steps. After completing the second side, it should also be tied with one single crochet. Additionally, we make 3 air loops in the place where our collar is supposed to be fastened. This will be a loop.

It seemed to me that the size was not very suitable, so I additionally tied the entire product with two more rows with a crochet.

sew on beads

Let's start decorating. I found old beads that were still glued together with the thread, so it was not possible to remove the beads. We take a needle with a large eye, and instead of thread we will use our yarn. We begin to sew our beads along the edge. You can use regular thread to match the yarn and individual beads of any size.

This is how we easily created our own collar necklace, which you can safely wear to work or a festive event.
