To knit this product we will need:

Dc - double crochet;

The bottom of the Panama hat has a round shape with a pattern. To start knitting the base, knit 5 loops and close them into a ring. At the beginning of each row, you need to knit 3 lifting loops (PP). The first row uses a combination of 3 PP + 13 Dc.
In the next (2nd row), 2 Dc should be knitted in the first three loops. Now we skip 1 loop of the first row and repeat the combination to the end of the row.
From the next row we begin to generate reports. Row 3: Knit three stitches using the combination 2dc, 1dc, 2dc. We skip the bottom loop, knit 1 ch above it, continue to the end of the row. We got 6 reports that will be the basis of the pattern.
Rows 4 and 5: evenly add 2 stitches in each stitch. The reports are connected to each other by 1 VP. In the 4th row in each report there should be 7 loops, and in the fifth row - 9 loops. Now we will make decreases so that the report looks like a leaflet. 6th row: we knit the central 7 loops, then 1 VP, 1 VP in 1 VP of the fifth row, 1 VP, etc.
7th row: we knit 5 dc in the middle of the report, we knit 1 dc in the chain loops of the 6th row, and 1 dc between them. Let's continue knitting similarly, until 1 CCH remains in the report - this is another 8 and 9 rows. We knit the next 2 rows (10 and 11) using (1 dc + 1 ch).
The main part of the cap is ready.
Now let's connect the fields. For them we will use CCHs: in the first arch of 1 VP of the 11th row we knit 4 CCHs, in each 2nd and 3rd - 3 CCHs. In the final row we knit a DC without any changes. Panama is ready.
