The Christmas goat is a traditional holiday decoration in Scandinavia. It is often made from straw. I suggest making a Christmas goat winding toy from threads.

To work you will need:
-2 cocktail straws;
- electrical tape or tape;
-foil;
- woolen threads;
-scissors;
-glue.

Christmas goat

1. Making the skeleton of a goat.
Take a straw and cut 1/3 of it lengthwise from one end to the other. Cut 1/3 of the length from the second straw.

Christmas goat

Fold the ends of the first straw, cut lengthwise.

The result was a torso with legs. Now let's attach the neck to the body. To do this, take a second straw. The part that is cut lengthwise is the front legs, they need to be connected to the front legs on the first straw using electrical tape. Also wrap the hind legs with electrical tape to make them firmer.

Now let's wrap the face of the toy. Make cuts on the neck.

Secure the remaining half of the straw with duct tape.

The skeleton of the goat is ready!
2. Create a volumetric texture.
We need foil. Unwind pieces of it, about 15 cm long, and gradually wrap it around the goat, creating its voluminous body.

At first it seems difficult, but be patient and you will succeed.Ultimately, you should end up with a figure like this.

3. We wrap the doll with threads.
Start gradually wrapping the goat with thread.

Christmas goat

Make sure that the threads lie tightly and do not leave gaps between them.

To cover the hooves and the tip of the muzzle with thread, apply a little glue to the frame, then carefully roll the thread in a spiral, gradually closing the foil.

Wrap everything except the antlers. After wrapping, you get this cute animal.

4. Make horns and tail.
Cut 6 pieces of brown thread and 3 pieces of red thread, 15 cm long.

Christmas goat

Combine every three pieces of thread into one to make the braid plump. Braid your hair.

Christmas goat

Tie the braid to the parts of the straw sticking out on your head. This is the first horn.

Using the same principle, make the second horn and tail.
5.Final touches.
The resulting goat is already very good. You can leave everything as it is, or you can take a coarse brown thread and wrap it around the goat again. This option seems more interesting to me.
