Blanks and tools for performing this crafts you will need a little:
colored cardboard;
scissors, ruler;
PVA glue;
felt-tip pen, simple pencil;
two orange paper napkins, a bamboo skewer
decorative flower.

Instead of cardboard, you can use velvet paper. It looks more elegant, but requires more care when working with glue. First, you need to cut out a rectangle from cardboard in the size of a standard greeting card - 10x15 cm. Using a simple pencil, apply a barely noticeable sketch of a cat figurine to the blank: a curving back, tail, head. It's enough.

roll straws

From both unfolded napkins, starting from the corner, roll into straws. You can use a bamboo skewer to help - it is thin enough and does not slip. You don’t need to twist it very tightly to make it easier to roll the straw into a rope.

figure sketch

It is more convenient to start gluing the cat from the body. Apply a thin strip of glue along the pencil line. Carefully, starting from the front paw, you need to gradually glue a rope twisted from straw onto this glue strip. Holding it with your left hand, you need to twist it a little, pressing it against the cardboard.

thin strip of glue

Cut off everything that remains after the hind leg. The remainder will be useful for the tail. The second napkin will be used to make the head. It is better to start gluing it from the middle of the forehead, highlighting the ears. Use two napkin balls to glue the cat's eyes. The third ball will act as the kitten's nose and mouth. Now you need to run a colored felt-tip pen over the glued rope, leaving stripes and circles. If desired, you can use a felt-tip pen to add a mustache on the muzzle. Additionally, the postcard will be decorated with a small decorative flower or a butterfly flying over an unhappy cat.
