Cat owners know that these cute pets love to choose secluded places to sleep and rest, where no one will disturb them. Often such places are boxes, various containers and even plastic bags. You can organize your cat’s personal space by making her a beautiful and comfortable bed. To work, you will need gray fabric 130 cm wide, colored fabric 50 cm * 130 cm in size, lining fabric, round black elastic band, satin ribbon 1.5-2 m long, 2 sheets of cardboard and filler. Foam rubber or padding polyester is suitable as a filler.
Let's cut out the details:
1. Cut a rectangle measuring 35 cm * 130 cm from gray fabric and fold it in half. Immediately make markings for 8 sections of 16 cm each.
2. Cut 2 rectangles from colored fabric. The first one is 7 cm*130 cm (for finishing the bottom). The second one is 20 cm * 130 cm, we iron it in half. This will be the top of the crib.
3. From gray fabric we cut 2 oval parts measuring 28 cm * 130 cm. We cut the same part from the lining fabric.
4. For the reverse side of the bottom, we also cut the following piece from the lining fabric:
5. Cut out a rectangle 12 cm * 130 cm from foam rubber or padding polyester.
Now let's sew the parts together:
• Sew on the bottom trim piece.
• We put foam rubber (sintepon) into the part marked into sections and lay lines along the markings, marking the sections.
• Sew the top 2-fold ironed piece and lay along it along the 2nd line for the ribbon.
• Stitch the edges of the parts, leaving holes for the tape to exit.
• Sew on the bottom of the crib: lining on the bottom and gray fabric on top.
• Pull the ribbon in and tie it nicely.
Removable crib bottom:
• Cut out two oval pieces from cardboard in shape and size that match our oval patterns.
• Fold up the edge and sew a seam for the cord in the bottom piece.
• Cut out a similar oval from padding polyester and sew together the parts of the bottom of the crib. Place 2 cardboard ovals glued together here. Thread the elastic cord, tighten and tie. As the lace becomes dirty, you can untie it, remove the cardboard and wash the bottom.
We put the bottom into the crib. We put our pet in the finished bed.
