We all love our little household members and often want to improve their living conditions, but often even the simplest houses or beds for cats are very expensive or when buying such mini-housing, they simply do not sleep in them. But this does not mean that we will deprive our pet of his secluded corner in the house. Therefore, we will make a cozy cat bed from improvised materials that almost everyone has at home.
For further work we will need the following materials:
- Plastic lid of a cake container (the larger the container, the more pets will fit in it).
- A small pillow (or enough fabric to fill it).
- A small blanket or fabric.
- An old scarf or snood.
Making a cat bed
1. For structural rigidity, the cover can be pre-wrapped with tape in several layers (at least three) directly under the edging. All this will be unnoticeable, because... In the future we will hide this with fabric. Place a pillow in the lid of the container. You can also simply put various fabrics that you have not used for a long time.
2. Then we cover the top with a blanket or any other fabric we already have.
3. Wrap it with a scarf or just an old snood as shown in the photo.
Your pets will be happy to have such a cozy place. The main thing is to choose a secluded corner in the room for it, such as, for example, a window sill (unless, of course, it is blowing from the windows), it opens up an interesting view of the street, and there is also a radiator nearby that heats the surface. It is important to make a cat bed so that your pet can feel comfortable and free in it.
And such a bed will be practical for washing, because everything can be easily removed and put back. Wool can be removed with a special sticky roller. As for the lid, it can be replaced over time if it suddenly cracks, because we eat cakes at least once every few months.
You can also use the rest of it in an interesting way:
From it (the bottom of the cake container) you can build a bird feeder by tying the two edges of the bottom of the container with a rope and pinching them in the window frame. Such a feeder will be simple and will last a long time. Your pets will sleep on a bed made by the loving hands of their owners and look at the birds fluttering outside the window.
