Postcard "Happy Valentine's Day"

Birthday is the favorite holiday of every birthday person, regardless of age. Both children and adults love to meet their closest people once a year and celebrate their birthday with them. A birthday is always a lot of flowers and various gifts that are showered on the birthday person on this day. Each person congratulates and prepares differently present, but everyone has the same result, you need to surprise and please the person whose birthday you are going to congratulate. In general, many people lately believe that it is best to give money and not bother about the gift: “what if you don’t like it?” or “what if it doesn’t fit and turns out to be unnecessary?” But somehow money ends up being the most relevant gift, especially if you don’t know the person well. It doesn’t matter what the gift will be, but what matters is how you present it. What is a gift without a congratulatory speech? Warm congratulatory words can be voiced and left as a lasting memory in a greeting card. And to be creative and original, you can make an interesting and unusual postcard yourself.What is meant by the word “unusual”? Since birthdays are a fun holiday, many people also call it “jam day.” This is exactly the kind of postcard in the shape of a jam jar that we will now learn how to make. It will be called the “Happy Jam Day” postcard.
So, you can get started, take the following for the master class:
• Watercolor paper A4;
• Paper for scrapbooking in blue shades with flowers;
• White cotton fabric with blue-brown flowers;
• Blue satin ribbon with white polka dots, 5 mm wide;
• Light green jute cord;
• Green berries in sugar and red kalinka;
• Printed inscription “Happy Jam Day”;
• Beige cotton lace 2.5 cm wide;
• Curb hole punch;
• Plastic buttons of different colors;
• Cardboard jar template;
• Glue with the effect of double-sided tape from Evgenia Kurdibanovskaya;
• Pencil and ruler;
• Double-sided tape;
• Scissors;
• Lighter.




First of all, we cut out the base for our congratulatory jar from watercolor paper. We measure a rectangle of 15*30 cm and fold it in half, we get a blank of 15*15 cm.




Now we put the cardboard template on the scrap paper and cut out a scrap jar like this.




We cut a 10*15 cm rectangle from the fabric and tie it around the top of the jar, as grandmothers used to do. Secure with double-sided tape.




We make paper lace using a hole punch and glue it in the center of the jar. Cut a strip of cotton lace.




We glue cotton lace above the paper lace, and on top of the lace we glue the inscription “Happy Jam Day.” We tie the top of the fabric on the jar with a blue ribbon and tie a bow.




We also wrap the jar with jute cord and also tie a bow.We sew the inscription on a sewing machine, and then the can itself below the fabric.




We turn our cardboard jar over and spread it with adhesive tape effect glue. Glue it onto the watercolor blank and press it for literally a couple of minutes.




We twist the berries and glue them under the strings. We glue the buttons at the bottom of the can.




Ready. We receive such an interesting postcard!
