We will need:
- Flexible wire (thick for the trunk and thin for the branches).
- Plastic bottles, green.
- Scissors.
- Candle.
- Lighter.
- Wool threads of green or brown color.
- Potty.
- Gypsum or other mixture.
- Cotton wool.
- Glue.
- Artificial snow.
- Christmas decorations.
First of all, we should deal with the trunk of the future crafts. Take several identical pieces of wire and twist them together. We bend the ends of the wire on one side, insert it into the pot and fill it with gypsum solution. This will be the trunk.
Leave the pot aside for a while and let the plaster dry. In the meantime, we will start making branches for the Christmas tree. First we'll make the needles. Take a green plastic bottle and cut off the bottom and neck. Then we cut the remaining part into strips of equal width.The wider the stripes, the longer the needles will be. There is nothing to worry about if the stripes are not completely even. It won't be noticeable later.
Now we cut each strip so that we get a fringe. These will be needles. The smaller you cut the fringe, the more beautiful the branches of the Christmas tree will be.
After we have made a sufficient number of strips with needles, we can begin making branches. We take one strip of fringe and make a small hole in one corner. Then we take a wire (thin), cut a piece of the required length and insert it into the hole, then bend the wire in half, twisting the ends together. See how it should turn out.
Now we begin to carefully wind the fringe onto the wire, slightly melting the smooth edge over the candle for a better fit to the wire.
We leave part of the wire without needles; we will then wind it around the trunk of the Christmas tree. Here we have a twig.
You can leave the twig like this, or you can lightly melt the needles over a candle. It’s just the way you like it, I melted the needles.
This way we make branches of different lengths. As you already understood, we determine the length of the branch using a piece of wire. Just take a length longer or shorter, as you need.
You also decide how many branches you need for one Christmas tree yourself. It all depends on the height of the tree. I will get a low Christmas tree, the branches on it will be in four rows. The first row, starting from the crown, consists of four branches, the next row will consist of five branches, then six branches and so on. As a result, you can easily calculate how many branches you need and do everything at once, so as not to be distracted later.Are the branches done and the trunk sits firmly in the pot? Then it's time to collect the tree. Let's start collecting it from the top. First we attach the crown, it should be the shortest. We bend the bare ends of the wire tightly around the trunk.
Then we attach the longer branches in the same way.
This is how we attach all the branches, we just do them at different levels.
The Christmas tree is almost ready, but the trunk looks ugly. We will fix this with the help of threads. We wrap the trunk with woolen threads. This way we will not only give it an aesthetic appearance, but also add thickness where necessary. Fix the end of the thread with regular glue. You need to start wrapping threads from the top of the head.
We will glue cotton wool inside the pot, thereby simulating snow.
The Christmas tree is ready.
