Do it yourself
Life hacks, master classes, useful tips, recipes.
Good afternoon everyone. Many people are now interested in modeling salt dough, and I got carried away too. It's really very interesting and exciting. I would like to present to you my craft made from this material. For this job I needed:
- Salt dough is brown, white, green, pink and yellow.
- Plastic bottle.
- Scissors.
- Board.
- Rolling pin.
- Knife.
- Gouache.
- Brush.
- Toothpick or wire.
- Varnish.

First I cut off the bottom of a plastic bottle. I made a flower pot.

Made a flower pot

I covered it with brown dough.

Covered him with dough

Then I took the green dough. I rolled it out to about 0.5-0.8 ml thick. and using a knife I cut out leaves from it. I made small cuts on them.

green dough

I made seven of these leaves. Then I “planted” them in a pot. Don't forget to have a mug of water on hand. Using wet fingers, we smooth out joints or fasten parts together.

made petals

I made petals for the future flower from white dough. I also made seven of them. I also “planted” these petals in a pot, staggered in relation to the leaves.

Flower pot

The flower pot is ready. Then I started making Thumbelina. To do this, I took pink dough and rolled it into a small sausage. This is the body of a girl.

dough ball

I rolled the same dough into a ball. This will be the head.

Torso

Using a small piece of wire, I connected the body to the head and “planted” the workpiece in the center of the flower. I tried to make a nose and eyebrows on my face.

imitation of fingers

Then I rolled out two sausages and used a knife to imitate fingers. Afterwards I attached the arms to the body.

Thumbelina

I made hair from yellow dough. I rolled out a lot of thin sausages and attached them to my head with water. Then I left the craft to dry. It took about a week for me to dry. Once the work was dry, I painted her eyes and mouth and varnished the craft.

Thumbelina

This is the kind of Thumbelina I got. Goodbye, see you again.

Something is too thick for 0.8 millimeters... maybe 0.5-0.8 centimeters?
