How to patch jeans at the knees?

Knees – one of the “weak” points on jeans. In adults, they stretch out, for example, during sedentary work. And children can tear their pants even when they wear them for the first time. An adult is not offended by parting with a damaged item, since it is most likely old. But children's jeans last a maximum of several seasons.
You can try to save a torn item using patches.
They have their own place in modern fashion. Patches now serve as decoration for clothes, a way to diversify familiar things, and for the owner to express himself.
Children's patches can be bright, shiny, with uneven edges. It can be fabric with funny patterns, patterns or catchy colors. You can cut out flowers, stars or faces of cartoon characters from plain material. It will be even more interesting for a child to go for walks in these jeans.
The easiest way to patch jeans is to take scraps of the same jeans in a suitable blue shade.

Instructions for performing the work
1.Cut out squares from a piece of denim. It can be the same size, it can be different.The main thing is that together the patches should close the hole.

2. We make a fringe on all sides, pulling out one thread at a time from the corner. Here it is about one centimeter.

3. Place the squares on the leaky places. We pin it with tailor's pins. They can be arranged symmetrically, tilted or randomly.

4.Sew on. If these are children's jeans, then their legs are very narrow. You can only make a seam using a sewing machine by opening the side seams. To avoid this, we sew it by hand.

5. The resulting panties look no worse, and maybe even more interesting, than the original version.
