Do-it-yourself car document covers

Among all of us there is a large part of people who are car enthusiasts and car owners, and every day, month, year there are many more of us. Each of us not only loves cars, but it is also quite convenient and significantly speeds up our lives. There is no need to wait long and tediously for public transport to get to work or take your child to kindergarten or school. Therefore, now almost all women try not to delay, but to get their license so that they can use a vehicle at any time. Everyone knows that when a person receives a driver's license, he must always carry it with him. And for this to be safe and secure, we need a special protective cover for the driver’s license, as well as other packages that every car owner should have with them. So now we’ll just get down to the right thing and learn how to make beautiful, and most importantly, unusual covers for car documents with our own hands.
So, to make covers for the driver’s document package, we take:

• A sheet of thick leather-look cardboard in A4 format;
  
• Two transparent covers, passport size;
  
• Two transparent inserts for a package of car documents;
  
• Thick paper for scrapbooking in brown color;
  
• Car-themed pictures for women and men;
  
• Bronze metal brads;
  
• The watch pendant and crown are also bronze in color;
  
• Gears cut out of cardboard;
  
• Hole punch border pattern;
  
• Glue stick, scissors, double-sided tape, ruler, pencil.

First, we need to cut out two bases for the covers from thick cardboard. Take a sheet and cut out two 12.5*18 cm rectangles from it.


Now we need to divide each one in half along a side that is 18 cm, now we draw a bend line and fold these blanks.


Now we take scrap paper and we need to cut out two rectangles for each cover. We measure and cut out four of them in total, measuring 8.5*12 cm.


We take two rectangles, and we will decorate them with pictures and cuttings. We glue and sew each element separately on a machine. We sew on the pictures, make a stripe at the bottom with a border and glue the blanks at the bottom.


Now we need to use metal brads to attach a watch to the male blank, and a crown to the female blank.


We glue strips of tape and glue all the rectangles onto both covers.


Now we sew both in a circle. Now we take a transparent liner, insert it inside and stitch it along the joint using a typewriter.


The denser the base of the cover, the more durable it will be. Now all we have to do is insert our entire structure into a transparent and protective cover. We get different covers for both women and men. These covers will be very relevant as a gift. Thank you everyone and see you again.
