When renovating an apartment, an important part is replacing the flooring. Coverings such as linoleum are very popular in the modern world. Its main advantages are:
1. Low cost;
2. Waterproof;
3. Wear resistance.

Plus, it’s worth adding to all this, a huge number of different colors, thanks to which this flooring will fit perfectly into any kitchen interior. By laying linoleum yourself, you can save on labor costs, especially since this type of repair work does not require special knowledge and skills from you. To lay linoleum, you will need the following tools:
1. Construction adhesive;
2. Pencil;
3. Roulette;
4. Special scissors;
5. Screwdriver;
6. Self-tapping screws.

We start by removing all objects standing on the floor from the room. If there is a baseboard in the room, you need to remove it. Next, you need to remove the old floor covering, clean the floor from dust and debris using a vacuum cleaner or broom. You should take care of the measurements in advance; you need to add 5 centimeters to the length and width, since the walls may not be even and there may not be enough linoleum.
When starting to lay linoleum, it is worth remembering that the room temperature should be at least 15 degrees. Linoleum needs to rest after purchase to avoid bends and creases. A day before starting work, spread this floor covering on a clean floor, in the order in which you plan to lay it.
The ideal option would be if the linoleum is solid. If you have to lay it out of several pieces, then make sure that the seams are in the middle. When applying linoleum to the walls, do not forget that there should not be much overlap; you will cut off the excess later. It is recommended to cut linoleum with special scissors, having previously marked the points of contact with the wall.

In a small room, linoleum can be fixed using a plinth. If the room is large, then construction glue will be needed. Also, this applies to those rooms where there is a large force load on the floor. After laying this floor covering, it is necessary to secure it using a plinth. To avoid bending of the linoleum in the doorway, it is recommended to secure it with self-tapping screws.

    This advice helped me finally lay the linoleum like a human being. The floor covering was almost the finishing line before the end of the renovation, and then a stupor occurred... How to lay it all out so that there are no creases and bumps with bends. There was no money for craftsmen, repairs cost a pretty penny anyway. Using the advice above, our floor is laid perfectly even!)
