I present to your attention a very small Tesla coil on one transistor or Brovin Kacher. In a Tesla coil, a very high high-frequency alternating voltage is supplied to the primary winding, and in a kacher, the primary winding is fed by the collector current of the transistor, it was Brovin who found out that with such a generator circuit, a high voltage appears on the collector and discovered a new way to control the transistor and called this device Kacher, which means swing reactivity. The Kacher is a high-frequency high-voltage generator, as a result of which the so-called corona discharge can be seen at the terminal. Also, a fairly strong electromagnetic field appears around it, which can affect radios, mobile phones, especially touchscreens and other electronics. Therefore, in a close-up photo of a working caster, stripes are noticeable. It was with this device that Tesla tried to transmit energy over a distance; whether he succeeded is unknown. Now there is no other use as a toy. So, let's get started, first we need to look at the circuit, it is very simple and can be soldered in 10 minutes.

I modified it a little, instead of a choke, a 12 V DC source and electric. A capacitor with a capacity of at least 1000 microfarads, the larger the better.
The transistor must be installed on a fairly large heatsink, otherwise it starts to heat up

Then comes the most routine and tedious task, the L2 coil needs to be wound with a very thin wire of about 0.01 mm or a little thicker, but the thinner it is, the greater the effect

you need to wind it on a marker or something similar, but it must be a plastic cylinder, carefully turn to turn in one layer; if you wind it intermittently, coat it with glue, otherwise everything will go down the drain.
We glue the marker onto the stand; a regular disc is perfect for this.

then we twist the primary winding L1 2-5 turns with a very large cross-section wire of the order of 2-4 mm, for convenience it is better to take a frame diameter, which should be almost twice the size of the marker

It is better to run the lower tap from the marker, which goes to the base of the transistor, under the disk so that it does not touch the secondary winding.

If everything is done correctly, then the circuit should work immediately, it is better to check with a fluorescent lamp; if there is no glow, swap the ends of the secondary winding (thick wire) or check whether it touches the marker.

And so this is what you can do with a ready-made camera
If you bring a gas-discharge lamp to the kacher, it begins to glow

The same effect is observed with other similar lamps

Also in an ordinary incandescent lamp you can see the so-called glow discharge, it looks like a plasma ball, it looks very beautiful

You can simply touch something metal, the discharge is almost unnoticeable, due to the size of the camera
If you make a larger model, you can make an ion engine, but this won’t work here.

The result is a simple and fairly cheap toy.

The most expensive were
1.Transistor 30 RUR
2. Radiator 20 RUR

The rest was already in stock, but I think everything in total will not cost even 150 rubles.

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS, THE INFLUENCE ON THE HUMAN BODY, DESPITE THE SIZE, IS PRETTY SMALL, SO YOU SHOULD NOT GET CARRIED OUT, OTHERWISE YOU MAY APPEAR A MILD HEADACHE, AND IF CLOSE CONTACT, A MILD ACHING PAIN IN THE MUSCLES OF THE ARM BECAUSE. A STRONG ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD AFFECTS THE NERVOUS SYSTEM. ALSO, YOU SHOULD NOT TOUCH THE DISCHARGES BECAUSE OF THE HIGH FREQUENCY OF PAIN, THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN, THERE WILL BE A SMALL BURN, BUT THE SAME DAMAGE AS FROM NORMAL CURRENT, IF NOT MORE.

P.S. Video with a big model:

Good luck to those wishing to repeat!

not necessarily all the way, I wound 5 turns in a spiral and did not stretch it. then I stretched it - the result was the same as with the unstretched one

I don't agree! If you cancel the inductor and capacitor in the circuit by 0.1 (as the author did), then it will not be a quality generator, but a regular generator such as a three-point generator or a blocking generator.

And the video says that the voltage is 2000 volts! this is not true, the voltage in a Tesla coil is about 100,000 volts! FACT !!!!

I assembled this one, only powered it from the fuel assembly. The gas discharge lamp glowed, but the arcs were only about 0.5 mm and not bright ((

where does the second wire from the second winding go?

Nowhere, it is left like that)) Arcs should go from it. In the 5th picture it is visible but poorly. This is the hair sticking out of the coil

I think 5..7 is enough, the main thing is to stretch it evenly over the entire length of the coil

as an option, wrap it more tightly with a thin copper tube, coat the adjacent part with contact gel and solder everything with cold welding, except for the contacts, of course,
Run cold water into a tube, or even in a more advanced version, connect it to an air conditioner, but these are already military installations)

I'm interested in whether anyone has managed to obtain a thermal effect that exceeds the power consumed from the network and whether it is advisable to develop similar devices for heat supply systems in a private home?

    a few questions:
    1.which n-n-n transistor to take: KT805, KT819, KT872, and what types?
    2. Is a 10000mF capacitor suitable?

I saw a needle attached to a wire, a ball of foil was attached to the needle, and in the middle of the needle there were 2 wires in different directions.
so, these wires were spinning, like an ion engine smile
