Tools and materials
You will need:- Vinegar 9%.
- Alcohol.
- Cup.
- Plate.
- Paper towels.
- And the knife itself for coating.
Let's boil vinegar
Pour the required amount of vinegar into a boiling pan. We put it on the stove. And while the vinegar comes to a boil, take alcohol and paper towels. We wet the towel with alcohol and wipe the knife blade, thereby removing dirt and degreasing it.
Carry out all work in a well-ventilated area.
We make anti-corrosion coating
After the vinegar boils, pour it into a cup. Then place the carbon steel blade into this cup. After some time, gas bubbles will appear on the knife blade. The entire procedure may take you from 10 to 20 minutes. After this time, remove the knife and wipe with a paper towel.
Your anti-corrosion coating is ready. It is not eternal and will wear off over time. Should be enough for a couple of years somewhere. And if it suddenly gets completely erased, no one is stopping you from repeating this procedure again.
