With their help, the vice can be temporarily secured by installing the upper support of the clamps in the area where the standard fastening is located, to a tabletop or workbench with sufficient strength.
The same vice can be used for clamping before processing workpieces made of wood, multi-layer plywood, plastic, soft non-ferrous metals or alloys. To do this, it is enough to make two identical templates from multi-layer plywood with a slot for fitting on the central beam of the vice. Moreover, the upper edge of the templates should be flush with the jaws of the clamping tool.
Before fixing the soft workpiece, we place templates between it and the jaws so as not to damage it from contact and pressure of the hard metal pads of the jaws, which usually still have a notch.
After this, the delicate workpiece can be safely processed without fear of damage in the vice.

To do this, remove the cover with the suction device and the filter, and place a suitable-sized plastic bag in the dust collector so that you can wrap its edges onto the body of the dust collector.

Idea No. 4. How you can usefully use tape for other purposes
Sometimes there is a need to mix two-component glue, but there are no suitable utensils at hand. Yes, even if there was one, then after use it would take a long time to clean it and wash it off any remaining glue.
In this case, construction tape is ideal. We glue several overlapping strips onto the tabletop or workbench.
Squeeze the first component out of the tube onto them, and then the second. Mix them thoroughly with a flat stick until completely mixed and ready. We use the resulting adhesive mixture for its intended purpose.
All that remains is to carefully remove the strips of adhesive tape with remaining glue from the tabletop with one piece of paper and throw them in the trash. The countertop is without a single mark and no dishes are needed, so there is nothing to wash.

To make it, we need a wooden cylinder with a through hole along the axis of rotation, a strip of sandpaper equal in width to the height of the cylinder and in length equal to its generatrix, a bolt and a nut.

We wrap the adhesive surface around the cylinder. We press the paper tightly with the help of several rubber rings to its surface.
After the glue has dried, remove the elastic bands. We insert a bolt into the cylinder, onto which, on the opposite side of the cylinder, we tightly screw the nut. We clamp the end of the bolt in the drill chuck and you can machine holes, as well as flat and shaped surfaces.
