Hammers wooden stakes with a hammer drill

Another simple device that will save your time and effort. Imagine: during the construction of something, it is necessary to drive a large number of wooden stakes into the ground in order to stretch the thread for leveling or marking the territory. You can do this as usual with a hammer, or you can speed up the process, and with virtually no effort. But to do this, you need to make a special attachment for the hammer drill and drive the stakes into the ground using it.

You need to drive stakes on the farm not only for marking, but also, for example, if you need to build a wooden fence or make a wooden fence, etc. Therefore, such a simple nozzle will certainly find its use.
As you know, a hammer drill has an impact mode without shaft rotation, and attachments such as a chisel are already available for sale. This is exactly the principle we will use.

Making an attachment for a hammer drill for driving stakes

We take an old, dull drill bit from a hammer drill and, using a grinder, saw off its shank.

Now we need a steel ring, which will be slightly smaller in diameter than the stakes that you plan to drive into the ground in the future using this attachment.
You can cut such a ring from a pipe, but I’ll cut it out of an unnecessary gas cylinder.
We saw off the top.

Then the middle part.

And the wide ring is ready.

Using an annular cutter for metal, we cut out a circle according to the size of the previously made ring.

We weld one part to another.

The end result was this type of glass.

We weld the shank to the glass.

We make stiffening ribs from a piece of thick metal and also weld them to our structure.

We weld all joints securely.

The nozzle is ready. But that’s not a problem - the skirt came off after the first use.

Plus, I realized through experience that there was no need to make it so long and reduced it to about one-third.

And, as you can see, it was scalded on both sides. Impact loads require greater strength.

Now everything is definitely ready!

Tests

We put the stake in the place where it is needed. We rest the hammer drill on top of it.

We press the button and easily drive it into the ground to the required depth.

Everything is so simple and easy.
This thing can be suitable not only for a hammer drill, but also for drills that have an impact hammer mode without rotation.
