Cucumbers are salted, fermented, pickled, and most often eaten fresh, just like that or in salads. But something as exotic as fried cucumbers can only be tasted when traveling to eastern countries. And even if someone has had a chance to taste this unusual dish, they certainly try to repeat the recipe. And it’s very easy to do, everything is clear from the name. You just need to fry the cucumbers, following a few rules. So today there will be spicy, aromatic and unusual fried cucumbers on the table. Ingredients:
- fresh cucumber 3 pcs.
- soy sauce 3 tbsp.
- vegetable oil 3 tbsp.
- white and black sesame seeds 1 tsp.
- corn starch 1 tbsp.
- salt 0.25 tsp
- garlic 1-2 teeth.
- dill 2-3 sprigs.
How to prepare fried cucumbers
Prepare everything you need. Cucumbers should be chosen young, without a pronounced core. Cut them into fairly thick strips, and divide the small ones into 8 pieces. Place in a bowl and sprinkle with salt.
Stir and leave for half an hour. During this time, quite a lot of liquid will be released from the cucumbers.It needs to be drained, and the pieces themselves should be rinsed under running water and dried with a towel.
Return to bowl and stir in cornstarch.
Stir until everything is coated more or less evenly.
Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan. Place cucumbers. They should be positioned freely.
Fry over high heat, stirring occasionally by tossing, until the pieces are golden brown.
Add chopped garlic, hot ketchup, chopped dill.
Keep on the stove for a minute, add sesame seeds, pour in soy sauce. Mix quickly.
Fried cucumbers are ready, serve immediately, add spicy tomato or soy sauce.
