Most men love cabbage rolls very much, but they are unlikely to cook them for themselves, considering it a complicated dish. In this article I have given you two great life hacks that will make preparing cabbage rolls as simple as possible.

The first and craziest life hack - this is the use of a screwdriver with a wood crown. I really love cabbage rolls and cook them often, but cutting the stalk from fresh cabbage with a knife is very problematic. I also often accidentally cut most of the leaves when the knife slipped. Now I use a wood saw with a pilot drill and in 1 second I separate the leaves from the stalk. Very comfortably!

A quick way to cook cabbage rolls “man-style”

We wash the crown first. Its diameter can be 50-70 mm, if you want to repeat this.

Cut the stalk of a head of cabbage at the level of the leaves with a regular sharp knife.

We install the crown with a centering drill in the screwdriver and drill the stump to the depth of the crown.

Next, everything is as usual in preparing cabbage rolls. Everyone can use their own recipe. And I'll show you mine.

Place the cabbage in boiling water and cook for 5-7 minutes. Next, let it cool a little.

And here is the result of my life hack: the leaves are very convenient to remove. They are completely whole, not cut.

Second life hack: I don’t pre-boil the rice, but add the hard rice directly to the minced meat. Of course, for a long time I did what everyone else did and boiled it, but then I realized that this was a waste of time and I could completely do without it.

I add various seasonings, rice, several tomato sauces to the minced meat, one of which must be spicy - I like it that way.

Mix everything and wrap it in cabbage leaves.

I cook cabbage rolls in the oven. To do this, I place them on a baking sheet and pour tomato sauce made from tomato paste, water and salt and pepper.

I cover with a sheet of aluminum foil and tuck the edges.

Next I put it in the oven for 2-2.5 hours.

The taste is amazing!

    What kind of perversion is it to pick the stalk out of cabbage? First time I read this. I also always try to come up with “life hacks”. When I made cabbage rolls, I used “new” kitchen equipment, not metalworking equipment. I set a goal to cook any dish in less than 45 minutes. For cabbage rolls: Place washed cabbage in a tied bag in the microwave. After 5 minutes at full power, we successively remove half of the sheets, cutting off its base from the stalk. Next, we prepare the core for 5 minutes and also sequentially separate the sheets from the stalk. Not a single cut of a leaf! It takes approximately 15 minutes. Place the cabbage rolls into a microwave-safe glass pan. Approximately 1 kg. Microwave for 10 minutes and you're done. Rice for minced meat, of course, needs to be simmered on the stove for about 10 minutes while you separate the leaves. If you do not mince the meat, the total cooking time takes 45 minutes. You freeze the rest of the raw cabbage rolls and cook as needed. Tough, of course, about 2.5 hours in the oven.... The meat of an old mare will become soft during this time!
