When assembling an electric heating system with a small volume of coolant, you can get by with a budget solution by replacing a purchased electric boiler with a homemade one. This will not affect the ease of use of the heating in any way, but will allow you to save a lot.
Materials:
- fold 1 1/2 inches;
- fold 1 inch;
- 1 1/2" tee;
- corner 1 1/2 inches;
- footer 1 1/2 inches x 1 1/4 inches;
- foot 1 1/2 inches x 1 inches – 2 pcs.;
- 1 1/2" locknut;
- lock nut 1 inch.
- Heating element with thermostat with 1 1/4 inch thread 1-2.5 kW.
Electric boiler manufacturing process
The boiler body is assembled from a tee and a 1 1/2-inch bend. The fittings are screwed into the side and top outlet of the tee. The heating main pipe will be connected to the side, and the heating element will be screwed into the top. A knee, a foot and a 1-inch bend are screwed onto the bottom of the squeegee. For tightness, assembly is performed on fulente (linen) with paste. It is advisable to use locknuts.
Since steel pipes and cast iron fittings are used, the cost of the housing is extremely low. A heating element with a thermostat will also be inexpensive. The result is a simple, reliable and repairable electric boiler.Thanks to the thermostat, you can set the heating level of the coolant. If you connect the heating element through a time relay, you will be able to set the boiler to turn on at certain hours, which is good if you have a two-tariff electric meter. Such a boiler can accommodate a heating element up to 2.5 kW, the power of which is sufficient to heat a one-room apartment, a small office, a workshop, a chicken coop, etc.
