After the holidays, there are fading roses in vases, which are a shame to throw away, but even when dried, they don’t look very presentable. To preserve dried flowers, you can use a very simple technology. The roses, without waiting for them to completely wilt, are hung upside down - I pin them to the curtains. After a few days, the roses “reach condition” - their petals are completely dried.

Dry flowers

When a lot of flowers accumulate, you can start decorating them. To do this, you only need cans of aerosol paint of different colors. I used gold, burgundy, coral, copper and silver paint. Darkly colored roses become almost black when dried - and a silver or copper tint will look very nice on them.

Light-colored roses, when dry, become yellow, but do not darken - and any enamel can be used on them (but, in principle, any shade can be used on dark flowers - you just have to spray the paint thicker).

Before starting work, you need to prepare a place where the paint will not stain furniture or gender To do this, you need to cover everything around with newspapers - because aerosol enamel flies far in the form of dust, consisting of microscopic particles of paint. If possible, it is best to go outside, then you won’t have to breathe in harmful fumes and clean up after work. You need to put a glove or a plastic bag on your hand - this makes it more convenient to hold the flowers by the stem so as not to get dirty.

I first sprayed the dark roses with burgundy and coral enamel, and then on top with silver and gold paint.

I immediately covered the light roses with gold and copper paint. Aerosol enamel dries very quickly - 10-15 minutes. After drying, roses become elastic and not so fragile. Now you can make various compositions from them and fill decorative bowls with their buds.

Any plants do not lose their color if they are hung in the freezer. It is good if there is a circulation fan in the freezer. Then the flowers will give up their moisture faster. But the color will remain. By the way, you can dry dill, parsley, etc. in this way. After drying them in the freezer, you take them out, and they look as fresh. It is not necessary to store in the freezer. Once dry, we take it out.
