Tea is a drink that appears on our table every day. It is quite natural to want to add special flavors to it from time to time. There are a large number of flavored teas on sale, but not all of them contain only natural ingredients. If you want to be absolutely sure of the natural origin of aromas, prepare fragrant teas yourself.

Three ways to make flavored tea at home

Tea with citrus zest and ginger

Tea with the addition of crushed ginger root and the zest of any citrus fruit (lemon, orange, lime) warms you up on a stormy day and gives you a boost of energy in the early morning. A small piece of root is enough for a week of daily use, and you can stock up on the zest in advance, when, for example, you eat an orange. The most delicious and rich drink is made from loose leaf tea, which can be replaced with bagged tea if desired.
Preparation:
1. Cut a small piece of ginger, peel it and finely chop it.
2. Place tea, zest and ginger in a teapot or French press.

Fill with hot water.
3. Leave for 5-10 minutes, and you can pour into cups.

Tea with berries

Modern freezers allow you to prepare tea with fresh berries all year round. You don’t need to take a lot of berries for brewing so that the drink doesn’t turn into compote, but there shouldn’t be too few of them, otherwise the aroma will be almost imperceptible. Depending on what you have, you can make an assortment of red and black currants, serviceberries, strawberries, sliced ​​strawberries, cherries, raspberry pieces, papaya, and small apple slices. The berries will add a reddish tint and bright taste to the tea drink.
Preparation:
1. Pour boiling water over black (green if you like) tea.

2. Throw berries into the teapot.

If you put frozen berries in the French press first, the glass may crack due to the temperature difference when hot water is added, which is why they are put in last.
3. Infuse for 5, squeeze out.

Tea with dried leaves, herbs

The most aromatic tea is obtained with the addition of black currant leaves, mint or lemon balm - one of the three listed ingredients is used, since their essential oils cancel out all other odors. Tea is also brewed with raspberry, strawberry, cherry, pear leaves, chamomile, jasmine and linden flowers. By diversifying their combinations, people get new tastes.

Preparation:
1. Place a tea bag or 2 tsp in a French press. tea leaves
2. Add 1 tbsp. l. dry grass.
3. Pour boiling water and leave for 3-4 minutes. If fresh, harsh leaves are used, the tea preparation time is increased to 5-6 minutes.
