The cheapest oil for impregnating wood

Many people use linseed oil to impregnate wood. It perfectly protects the tree, but is not sold everywhere, and most importantly it gives an unwanted yellowness. If this effect does not suit you, and you want to preserve the natural color of the wood as much as possible, then use Vaseline oil from the pharmacy.

Between them there is a pause of 12 hours. If there is no time to wait, then after the first layer, after 15-20 minutes, the treated surface should be wiped with a dry cloth or rag. The color of the wood is the same after both one and the second layer of impregnation. The latter simply provides better protection against moisture.

The advantage of this oil is its transparency, odorlessness and environmental safety. It can be used to saturate wooden dishes. It is cheap, sold in any pharmacy in 100 ml bottles, so it is the most affordable impregnation option.

As for the fact that it is the cheapest - nothing like that. A 100-gram bottle in a pharmacy costs 67 rubles, and 250 g of flaxseed at Magnit costs 130 rubles. And secondly, what is Vaseline oil made of?
