To pump up balloons, supply air to the aquarium, and for other purposes, you may need a mini compressor. The main part for its manufacture is a gear motor, which can be ordered cheaply on Aliexpress or simply removed from a broken children's radio-controlled toy. Everything else can be found in your workshop.
The compressor needs a more powerful motor; if initially there is a small one in the gearbox, then it should be replaced.
After this, you need to cut off the central part from the syringe. This will be the compressor sleeve.
It is necessary to grind the rubber piston so that it slides in the sleeve with less resistance. The syringe rod behind the piston is cut off, and an eyelet is cut out of the crosspiece.
A disk with a shaped hole in the center is cut out of sheet plastic.It must be installed on the gearbox spindle. A hole with the same diameter as on the piston eye is drilled on the disk closer to the edge.
A rod is bent from the wire to connect the flywheel on the gearbox to the piston. Pieces of tubes are stretched over its edges to prevent the wire from falling out.
Lubricant is applied to the piston, then the liner is glued to the engine housing. To strengthen it, you need to wind the thread and soak everything with superglue.
The compressor casing is cut out of a plastic sewer pipe. Then you need to make a plug for it from sheet plastic. A hole is cut in the latter to match the diameter of the sleeve. Wires are soldered to the motor contacts.
Now you need to cut a viewing window in the casing. The inside must be sealed with transparent plastic cut from a bottle of cosmetics or household chemicals.
The compressor with a plug is inserted into the casing, and it is glued recessed by 10-20 mm. A plug is also glued to the back side, but this time on the edge. You need to make a hole in it to bring out the power wire.
Next, another plug is cut out. There are 2 holes made in it. A thin film petal is glued to one of them. It will act as a valve, letting air in and stopping it from coming out again.
Next, half of the small syringe is cut off. It contains a rubber gasket and a spring from a ballpoint pen. It is then glued to the second hole of the plug.
The valve plug is glued into the compressor casing.
Now, when power is supplied to the engine, it will begin to pump air. All that remains is to pull the hose over the spout of the syringe for convenience and use it for its intended purpose.
