To weld one pipe into the second at an angle of 45 degrees, you need to make a concave end trim. The markings for it are very complex. The proposed method will allow you to do it smoothly and as quickly as possible.
What you will need:
- ruler;
- marker;
- paper;
- scissors.
Pipe marking process
It is necessary to measure the diameter of the tube.
Next, a rectangle is cut out of paper, one side of which is equal to the circumference of the pipe, and the other to its diameter.
The paper is folded in half lengthwise and then folded again. As a result, after unfolding there will be 3 folds left on it. You need to mark them with a marker.
The rectangle is wrapped around the pipe and aligned with its edge. Next, you need to mark the joint line, and also transfer the marks from the paper to the end of the tube. On the opposite side, only the joint is marked.
The marks at the joint are connected by a line.
After this, you need to step back a couple of millimeters from the bottom towards the edge. Next, you need to attach the paper to this point and, in turn, to the side marks at the end.Using it as a ruler, you need to draw lines.
Then a wedge is cut along them in the marked pipe.
All that remains is to grind.
Now if you apply it for welding, there will be almost no gap when joining. The angle will be exactly 45 degrees.
