Sharpening with a file
You can sharpen the edges of the drill with a triangular file. For convenience, you need to clamp it in the drill chuck. Then, using a file, moving away from you, you should renew the edges of each worn step, observing the factory angle. You also need to go around the entire circumference of the groove.
Sharpening with a drill
You can also update the drill steps using a drill with a grinding attachment. The tool is placed on top at the same angle as the step bevel. This method is faster than filing. You need to immediately grind the edges of the steps, and then adjust the middle to fit them.
Sharpening with cutting disc
You can also sharpen it with a cutting disc from a grinder. The drill is clamped into the drill. Then it starts in reverse.The disc is held in the hand and pressed against the worn step. By rotating in the opposite direction, the clamping angle will be leveled, eliminating damage to the front working part of the sharpener.
