After installing a water supply system from adhesive PVC pipes, a lot of scraps remain. Having purchased a few more fittings, you can put them to work, making very useful equipment for a country house and furniture. It is easy to assemble a lot of things from pipes, and the process itself is very entertaining.
1. Rake with teeth made from self-tapping screws
Tubes are inserted into the threaded PVC tee from the sides and closed with plugs. Then you need to apply markings to the resulting part in increments of 40 mm, and screw in the self-tapping screws according to the marks. The latter will serve as the teeth of the tool.
Next, the screws are bent with hammer blows so that the teeth better capture and hold debris during operation. After this, an adapter with a long pipe is screwed into the thread of the tee.
2. Rake with teeth made of nails
This version of the rake is done in a similar way. Only after assembling the frame are nails used as teeth. To install them, you need to drill holes, only of a smaller diameter than the cross-section of the nails. After this, they are driven in and bent.
Finally, a pipe stem is installed. For this, an adapter for the tee thread is also used.
3. Scraper for removing water
This scraper has a similar design to a rake. Using a tee and pipes, you need to assemble the same frame for it. A starting profile for PVC lining is screwed onto it with self-tapping screws.
The scraper itself is cut out of lining or cellular polycarbonate along the honeycomb and inserted into the profile on the frame. Next, install a pipe handle with a threaded adapter.
This tool will allow you to quickly remove water from tiles and steps. The scraper can be easily replaced as it wears out.
4. Mini table
From pipe scraps, 4 corner PVC and 2 regular tees, you need to assemble a frame for the tabletop. 4 legs are attached to it. They are closed from below with plugs, preferably soft ones.
A tabletop made from scraps of PVC lining, cellular polycarbonate or sheet plastic is glued to the frame using double-sided tape. This table can be used to place a laptop when working while lying down, or for snacking in bed.
5. Mini shop
It is necessary to connect 4 corner PVC tees together in pairs with 10 cm pipe sections. Next, the parts are assembled using two 25 cm pipes.
At the edges of the resulting frame, 3 clips are screwed, and 20 cm tubes are installed in them. You will need to place a spacer under the central clips so that they are flush with the side ones.
6 clips are screwed onto these crossbars. Then pipes 40 cm long are installed on them. The result is a bench.
Finally, 10 cm long legs with plugs are inserted into the tees of the frame. For reliability, it is better to additionally connect the clips with the tubes with self-tapping screws.
