There are thousands of small household tasks that can be done faster and better if you use a few tricks. Let's look at 6 life hacks useful for the home handyman. You will definitely take at least a couple of them into service.

1. How to tighten a nut in a hard-to-reach place

To hold the nut in a hard-to-reach place for screwing a bolt into it, just glue it to a finger wrapped in tape, with the adhesive side facing out.

It will stick securely, allowing you to get into the thread without any problems.

2. How to collect small glass fragments without a vacuum cleaner

Small glass shards can be collected with a sticky roller for cleaning clothes. Even the smallest particles of glass stick to it, which cannot be swept away with a broom. After this, the tape with the fragments is torn off and wrapped with glass inside, so it will not hurt anyone.

3. How to protect the surface from black marks of a rubber mallet

When a rubber mallet strikes finishing surfaces, black marks often remain on them, especially visible on planed, unpainted wood.

If you put a stocking or sock on the mallet, it will stop staining everything black.

4. What can be done with torn rubber gloves

Torn rubber gloves can be cut into rings.

They are useful for tying up the coiled cord of a power tool, and other needs. Large rings are tied in a figure eight, after which the wrapped elastic can catch the edge of its own knot. This allows you to remove it very quickly.

5. Quickly collect scattered nails and screws with a household vacuum cleaner

Scattered hardware can be quickly collected by inserting a stocking into the vacuum cleaner tube and securing its edge from the outside with an elastic band, tape or rope. Small items will be drawn into the tube and collected in the stocking without ending up in the trash bag. After turning off the vacuum cleaner, you can shake them out into a jar or box.

6. How to drill without overheating the drill

To prevent the drill from overheating when drilling, you can tape a nut or a thick washer to the surface being treated and pour lubricant inside.

Due to surface tension, it will not spread and will lubricate the drill. Thanks to this, the tip of the latter will remain relatively cold.
