With the rise in price of building materials, building has become very expensive, so we have to restore old buildings as much as possible, which is much cheaper. There are methods that allow you to strengthen the foundation, and even wide cracks in the walls, thereby stopping the destruction of the building for its further finishing. Everything is done with a tool accessible to every developer.

Materials:

  • Reinforcement 10-14 mm;
  • knitting wire;
  • bar;
  • trimmings of any sheet material for formwork;
  • cement;
  • sand;
  • crushed stone

The process of restoring the foundation and walls

Restoration work should begin from the foundation. A trench is dug around it to pour concrete. Its depth and width are selected according to the condition of the foundation. It is important not to take risks and not dig all the way to the bottom, as it may move. If you do this near a shallow foundation, then the duration of the trench should be only a couple of meters. That is, the gravy is carried out in several passes.

Next, the foundation walls need to be cleared of soil so that concrete can stick to it.It is convenient to do this with a metal brush and a hard broom.

Next, you need to drill holes in the foundation with a hammer drill and insert reinforcement pins 15-20 cm long into them, depending on the width of the concrete pouring.

The pins are placed in horizontal rows in increments of 40 cm. The rows must be made along the cord, since at the next stage long reinforcement is tied to the pins.

Next, formwork is placed along the perimeter of the foundation. A lath, block or cutting boards are used as racks and supports. The formwork itself can even be made from plasterboard, but first cover it with film. It's cheap, but the concrete can squeeze it out a little, and the foundation will turn out to be a wave.

Now the concrete is being prepared. For 1 part of cement add 2.5 sand and 3.5 crushed stone. Concrete is poured into the formwork, and preferably compacted with a vibrating rammer. After it has set, the formwork is removed and the foundation is backfilled with soil.

Once the foundation is strengthened, the cracks need to be repaired.

They are cleaned of mortar, then after 3 rows you need to make grooves in the seams for the reinforcement.

The wall is leaking water.

Sand and cement mortar is poured into cracks and grooves. Then you need to drive reinforcement brackets into the grooves through the crack. To do this, they are pre-bent. To insert them into the wall, you need to push the mortar into the seam and use a hammer drill to drill into the walls along these marks.

The staples are driven in and covered with mortar.

As a result, the wall will be strengthened so that it can be plastered or covered with siding. After such repairs, the frame of the building will become strong, so that finishing work will not be done in vain.
